In the June edition of the MMM there is an interesting article on the \u201cCuriosities of Constance\u201d (pages 52-58) and as we know many of you are avid readers of the magazine, we thought it would be a good time to talk about our\u00a0\u201cBreathtaking Black Forest\u201d<\/a><\/u>\u00a0tour, which ends in the beautiful town of Lindau, where stunning Alpine views can be enjoyed from lake-front cafes, as shown on the cover of the MMM.<\/p>\n

When we developed our Black Forest tour, we decided that not only did we want to show you the most beautiful places in the Black Forest, but we also wanted to include a couple of days on Lake Constance as it is such a stunning place. It also gives you the opportunity to travel into Switzerland to see the Rhine Fall of Schaffhausen, the largest plain waterfall in Europe and\/or to visit Stein am Rhein, famous for its well-preserved old town featuring painted facades and half-timbered houses and where Lake Constance again becomes the Rhine river.<\/p>\n

On the western side of Lake Constance, we stay close to one of the most beautiful gardens in Germany. The Flower Island Mainau offers year-round beauty with 45 hectares of impressive gardens, dining and shopping and hosts\u00a0the second largest butterfly house in Germany. We also drive along the northern lakeside, where you can visit the Pile Dwelling Museum or stop in Meersburg to walk through the town centre to the castle. Our last stop is in Lindau where you can take a boat trip from Lindau in Germany to Bregenz in Austria, passing the Swiss mountains on the way back to Lindau. A short drive from Lindau is also the Hymer Museum, a Caravan and Motorhome exhibition telling the story of motorhoming from the traveller\u2019s perspective with a delightful parade of over 80 vintage cars and historical leisure vehicles from all over the world.<\/p>\n

The\u00a0\u201cBreathtaking Black Forest\u201d<\/u><\/a>\u00a0tour is ideal for motorhomers that do not like to travel through many countries to get to the touring region and enjoy really short daily distances during the tour. Unfortunately, we do not offer the Calais pick up service for this tour next year, as it starts directly after our popular\u00a0\u201cMajestic Rhine and Moselle Rivers\u201d<\/u><\/a>\u00a0tour, however it gives you the opportunity to book the two tours together for 4 great weeks of touring in Germany. The\u00a0\u201cMajestic Rhine & Moselle Rivers\u201d<\/u><\/a>\u00a0tour is an ideal tour for anyone who has never driven on the continent before, as it starts just a couple of hours from Calais and the daily distances, like on most of our tours, are very short. In addition, we offer the Calais Pick up service for the \u201cMajestic Rhine & Moselle Rivers\u201d tour. Not to forget, if you book two tours during one touring season, you will get a 60 EURO Combination Discount in addition to the Early Bird Discount.<\/p>\n
