As the Motorhome & Caravan Show would have started on Tuesday, we have decided to do our own small version in a digital format and every day this week we will send you a short email with information about a particular tour. Our “Amazing Alpine Roads” tour starts in Lindau on Lake Constance and winds its way along the German-Austrian border for 280 miles to Salzburg in Austria. You will be amazed by the sheer variety of the landscape – from lush Alpine meadows, gently rolling hills and green forests to, romantic valleys, sparkling lakes and craggy peaks, including the steep rocky terrain of Mount Zugspitze, Germany’s highest mountain, from where you can take the cable car to enjoy a unique 360° panorama of 400 Alpine peaks at 2,962 metres above sea level. You will see the traditional Bavarian towns of Oberammergau and Berchtesgaden, crystal-clear lakes, such as Tegernsee, Schliersee and Königssee and the fairy-tale castles of Neuschwanstein and Hohenschwangau and have time to take a breath-taking bus journey to the “Eagle’s Nest”, formerly Hitler’s home and southern headquarters. We will enjoy a typical Bavarian meal in a Benedictine brewery at Lake Tegernsee and take a boat trip on Lake Königssee, one of Germany’s most famous lakes, and will hear the impressive echo from the trumpeter on the boat. There is also plenty of opportunity for high-altitude culinary delights in quaint mountain huts, buzzing beer gardens and cosy lakeside cafés. We finish the tour in Salzburg, Austria, the birthplace of Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart. The city centre is a world heritage site, with many picturesque squares, buildings and gardens, several of which were film locations for the “Sound of Music“.
This year has been hard for everybody, but we are optimistic that things and in particular the situation with Covid-19 will get back to normal next year. We understand, that some of you may be worried about booking a tour due to the current situation, however if we must cancel a tour again next year, any payment you make will be fully reimbursed, as is stated in our terms and conditions. All payments we receive are insured by an insolvency insurance through one of the largest German insurance companies and we send you a secured payment certificate with the booking confirmation. This allows you to book with confidence, knowing that your money is safe under any circumstances.
