Digital Show – Day 3: “Picturesque Provence”

Abbaye de Senanque Provence

As the Motorhome & Caravan Show would have started on Tuesday, we have decided to do our own small version in a digital format and every day this week we will send you a short email with information about a particular tour. If you are interested in this (or any other tour), please do not hesitate to contact us with your questions – we would be happy to send you more information.

Our “Picturesque Provence” tour takes you through a region of striking natural beauty and great diversity – with lavender meadows, oceans of vineyards and olive groves and the largest canyons in Europe and on the other hand lively cities and adorable villages with narrow cobblestone streets. Our tour starts in Avignon where you will have the chance to visit the beautiful city centre, the famous bridge and the historic popes’ palace. From there we travel to Saint-Rémy-de-Provence, a town built from honey-coloured stone centred on a lovely plane-shaded square lined by cafes. South of the town, the rugged hills of Les Alpilles rise along the horizon, and one of Provence’s most impressive Roman ruins can be explored – the incredibly well-preserved ancient town of Glanum. From here we drive to the Roman city of Arles and you have time to visit the old town and famous Amphitheatre or take a trip into the Camargue. The tour continues to Moustiers Sainte-Marie, Manosque and through the Luberon with its pretty hilltop villages, fields of lavender and laid-back lifestyle. Towards the end of the tour we stay one night at a vineyard in Châteauneuf-du-Pape and enjoy a wine-tasting of the famous wines before driving through the scenic Ardéche. The end of the tour is crowned by an historic train ride through the Doux river valley.

This year has been hard for everybody, but we are optimistic that things and in particular the situation with Covid-19 will get back to normal next year. We understand, that some of you may be worried about booking a tour due to the current situation, however if we must cancel a tour again next year, any payment you make will be fully reimbursed, as is stated in our terms and conditions. All payments we receive are insured by an insolvency insurance through one of the largest German insurance companies and we send you a secured payment certificate with the booking confirmation. This allows you to book with confidence, knowing that your money is safe under any circumstances.

Stay safe!
