Today would have been the third day of the Motorhome & Caravan Show and we are continuing with our own small digital version with another two tours to some of the most famous regions in Germany: The Black Forest and the Rhine & Moselle rivers. Both tours are always very popular and have become evergreens and are part of our touring programme almost every year. Both tours are perfect for anyone travelling to Europe for the first time with their motorhome or camper van, as the daily mileages are very short.
“Majestic Rhine & Moselle Rivers”
Saturday 25th June – Saturday 9th July 2022
We start the tour in Aachen, the first UNESCO World Heritage Site on the tour and continue along the Rhine visiting Cologne, Koblenz, St. Goar and finally Rüdesheim. Here we take part in “Rhine in Flames” joining a striking fleet of illuminated riverboats to watch numerous firework displays and “burning castles”. After driving back along the other side of the Rhine valley, we join the beautiful Moselle in Koblenz and stay in some of the most famous towns including Cochem and Bernkastel-Kues. In Trier we spend the evening at a vineyard and have a wine tasting and guided tour of the wine cellar followed by a dinner before travelling to Luxemburg the next day. There is plenty of time to explore the city, see the palace of the Grand Duke, or visit any of the other numerous attractions.
“Breathtaking Black Forest”
Saturday 9th July – Saturday 23rd July 2022
The Black Forest is more than the home of the cuckoo clock and Black Forest Gateau. It is a region of stunning natural beauty of wooded hills, rolling meadows and charming towns and villages as well as relaxing spas. Our tour takes you from the north of the Black Forest to the Alpine foothills in Switzerland. On the way you can visit the German Clock Museum and see the world largest cuckoo clock. Enjoy the scenery of Germany’s largest waterfall in Triberg and lakes like Titisee or Schluchsee. A highlight of the Tour is the waterfalls of the Rhine in Schaffhausen, just across the border in Switzerland. We will stay at lake Constance, giving you a chance to visit the flower island of Mainau and the beautiful cities of Konstanz and Lindau with the charming port that connects Germany, Austria and Switzerland.
