Tour Flyer Vineyard Alsace

First, we would like to thank everybody who asked to be put on the preliminary reservation list and since have booked their tour for next year.

Just in time for our 6 weeks on the road through Denmark and Norway we have been able to finalise everything for our touring programme for next year including the tours to “Alluring Alsace” and “Delightful Danube”. The “Alluring Alsace” tour took a bit longer as one campsite only opened on the 1st of May and no contact was possible beforehand. But we now have confirmation from all of them.

The “Alluring Alsace” tour is a good tour for first timers, as are the “Springtime in Holland” and the “Majestic Rhine & Moselle Rivers” tours, as all three tours start not far from Calais and the daily driving distances are short. For those of you that are not so familiar with the Alsace region in France, it is right on the border with Germany. It has been contested by France and its neighbour for centuries, leaving the region with a character that combines the two, and it proudly guards its own distinct identity, language, cuisine, history and architecture. Here quaint villages with timber-framed houses, canals and colourful flower arrangements look as though they’ve popped up from a children’s bedtime story and the gently rolling countryside, striped with vines, is nothing short of idyllic. The towns and cities of Alsace are also worth a visit. Strasbourg is an architectural masterpiece; Colmar is a delight to anyone who enjoys heritage and good-living, and Mulhouse is renowned for its ingenuity and invites you to discover its numerous museums. Alsace boasts the highest concentration of fortified castles in Europe and many fabulous historical memorial sites, including UNESCO heritage sites. Alsace wine is famous worldwide, and wine production is one of the region’s main activities

For the “Delightful Danube” tour we were able to reserve first-class campsites. One of them is a 5 Star camping resort offering a spa with sauna and infinity pool overlooking the woods and mountains of the Bavarian Forest National Park. Some of the campsites on this tour are also directly located on the Danube River and as usual well located for visiting the cities or other POI’s.
The tour starts in Regensburg, a Medieval city in the south of Germany, with a 2000-year-old history and World Heritage status. We continue along the Danube passing the beautiful Bavarian Forest National Park, and Passau which lies on the Austrian border at the confluence of the rivers Danube, Inn and Ilz and is widely regarded as one of the most picture-perfect townscapes in Europe. From there we follow the Danube through Austria passing the Engeszell abbey, famous for its liqueurs, cheese, and beer, and the Schlögener Schlinge, a natural spectacle where the Danube winds itself narrowly around the Schlögenberg Mountain. We continue along the Danube and follow the dramatic stretch of river between Krems an der Donau and Melk, a UNESCO World Heritage Site called the Wachau, and characterised by vineyards, forested slopes, wine-producing villages, and imposing fortresses at nearly every bend. The tour ends in Vienna, renowned for its imperial palaces, grandiose buildings, and old-world glamour

We still have limited availability on two of our tours in the second half of this year. If you would like to join us on our popular “Impressive Italian Lakes and Cities” tour, which takes place in the second half of September, please do not hesitate to contact us. Although this tour has been in our touring programme almost every year, we will not be offering it in 2023, so don’t miss this great chance. We also have limited availability on our new “Andalusian Adventure” tour which takes place in November.

All information regarding dates, prices, and itinerary can be find on our website. If you have any additional questions or require any further information, just send us an email. If you would like to book a tour you can do this online, or just send us an email and we will send you a booking form.
