Last weekend we returned home from the last two tours of the summer season, our “Scenic Switzerland” and “Impressive Italian Lakes & Cities” tours. The new “Scenic Switzerland” tour was fully booked, but we received two last minute cancellations, which gave customers on the waiting list the chance to join us on this tour. Everyone had a great time, and we all loved the workshop in the Emmental, where we made our own cheese. We were very lucky with the weather and were blessed with sunshine most days, which made the trips on cable cars and cog rail trains up to the mountain tops a unique experience. For example, some of the group went up to the Schilthorn/Piz Gloria to “meet” James Bond, others of the group took the train to Europe’s highest train station at the Jungfraujoch (3,454m). Because the Switzerland tour was so popular and sold out so quickly, we will be offering this tour again in 2023 and we have already received bookings, including from those customers that could not join us this year. We are not running the Italy tour next year but are replacing it with our new “Delightful Danube” tour, but it will return sometime in the future. As usual, we will be preparing tour impressions for the past tours and will let you know once they are online on our website, so you can travel with us virtually.
We are now busy in the office getting ready for the Motorhome & Caravan Show, which takes place Tuesday, 18th – Sunday, 23rd October at the NEC in Birmingham. With just over a week to go until the show, ticket sales are continuing to climb – 97,000 so far! Saturday and Sunday tickets have sold out at just over 20,000 each day. There is still availability during the week. We would be very happy to meet you at our stand 9.32 located in Hall 9 and talk about the 2023 touring programme and to answer any questions you may have. Many customers have already planned to come and see us to say hello. This will give you also the opportunity to talk to them about their travels with us if you are there at the same time.
We expect all our tours to fill up further during and shortly after the show at the NEC, so if you are thinking of joining one of our tours, do not wait too long.
