On Friday we finished our “Spectacular Spanish Northern Coast” tour near Santiago de Compostela and on Saturday we started our “Perfect Portugal” tour in Braga.  This means this year we are using the time from end of August to the beginning of October to tour the two beautiful Atlantic coasts of Spain and Portugal with a few stops inland as well. Next year we will be using this time slot to tour the mountains in Switzerland and along the Alpine Roads in Germany and Austria.

We will start with the “Scenic Switzerland” Tour in Luzern finishing in Geneva, directly followed by our “Amazing Alpine Roads” Tour beginning on the German side of lake Constance in Lindau going all the way along the German/Austrian border to Salzburg in Austria.  On both tours you will see lots of mountains and have opportunities to go up on cable cars or cog rail trains.

As many of you know we typically offer a wine tasting during our tours, but for these two tours we will have something else typical for the region, e.g. in the Emmental region of Switzerland the group will take part in a cream cheese workshop, learning about the individual processes of cheese production and make their own cheese to take back to the motorhome. On the Alpine Roads tour, we will have a group meal in a typical German brewery where you can try a traditional roasted knuckle of pork and drink a Tegernsee beer which comes through a direct line from the brewery. It doesn’t get fresher than this. During this tour you can also go up the highest mountain in Germany and walk over to Austria on the top and in Switzerland you can take a train ride to the highest railway station in Europe. You will also have the possibility to take the bus up to the famous Eagles Nest, Hitlers Mountain residence.
