As many of you probably know, tomorrow the Caravan, Camping & Motorhome Show will start at the NEC in Birmingham. Normally we would have a stand at the show, but this year we will not be participating as we have decided that the touring season 2026 will be our last one and we will retire in 2027.
Some of our customers already know that 2026 will be our last season as MandA Tours, and others may have heard it through the grape vine. It was not an easy decision to make as many of our customers have become friends and we will miss their company during our travels, but it will give us time to travel to places we still haven’t seen (yes there are some) and even to try something new without the motorhome! For example, we have booked a river cruise along the Danube in March. The decision is also made easier as in Germany it is possible to retire at 63, an age we will both reach by the end of the year. We will be free to do our own thing, and even might change our slogan from “Travelling the clever way” to “We don’t know where we’re going, but we’re on our way”, which we always liked, but obviously was not appropriate for a touring company 😊.
As some of our customers knew that this will be our final year, several of them booked a tour to be able to travel with us one last time. Therefore, our last two tours in September to the mountains are almost fully booked (“Scenic Switzerland” 2 places left and “Amazing Alpine Roads” 1 place left). For the other tours we still have limited availability. Due to the new extended lead-times of the campsites, you would need to book the “Majestic Rhine & Moselle Rivers” tour by mid of April. If you want to participate in our “Discover Denmark” tour, we need to have your booking by mid of March, as we will then inform the campsites. Unfortunately, the “Exciting Eastern Germany” tour cannot be booked anymore.
