We have been back in the office now for almost a week after returning from the Caravan, Camping and Motorhome Show at the NEC in Birmingham. We spoke to many people there and there was a lot of interest in our tours. We received some additional bookings for this year and several of the tours are now almost full. For example, our “Majestic Rhine & Moselle Rivers” tour, which we recommend as a so-called starter tour now only has one place available. Today we also received a call from the organisers of the Rhine in Flames fireworks, who want to know whether we need all the tickets we have reserved for this event because there is a huge waiting list this year for tickets because of the revived interest of people wanting to participate in such events again after the Covid years. So, if you would like to grab the last place on this tour do not hesitate too long because we may be forced to close bookings for this tour earlier than usual.
The other tour, where booking will be closing soon, is the “Exciting Eastern Germany” tour which starts on Sunday 14th of April in Potsdam near Berlin. We initially had the official booking deadline during the current week, but we have decided to prolong the booking deadline for the remaining places on this tour for two weeks until Monday 11th of March!!!
During the show many people asked about our 2025 programme and some of our long-time customers have already requested to be put on the preliminary booking list, for example for the “Timeless Tuscany” tour, which will be new for next year. Unfortunately, we have not yet made a final decision on next year’s tours, but at the moment we think we will bring back the “Springtime in Holland” tour in April and then in May and June “Scenic Switzerland” and the new “Timeless Tuscany” tour, about which we wrote in previous newsletters. Of course, we will have our evergreen tour “Majestic Rhine & Moselle Rivers” in June/July followed by the “Breathtaking Black Forest” tour. As usual we will not travel in August, because we have a stand at the Western Motorhome Show in Malvern. For September, we are thinking of repeating the “Spectacular Spanish Northern Coast” tour, which will take us back to the Basque country and the Rioja wine region where we lived for several years in the 1990s. The tour through Northern Spain will be followed by a new tour to Portugal, for which we did a scouting trip in 2021. In March we will check potential clashes with bank holidays and school holidays and will then contact the campsites, to secure our pitches for the 2025 tours. We hope to have the feedback from the campsites soon, so that we can officially publish the programme in April or May.
