After a very busy few months in the office, our winter break is now over and today we finally start our first tour of the 2024 season “Exciting Eastern Germany”. We left our home near Frankfurt on Wednesday and drove up to Calais stopping for one night in Belgium, before meeting customers who had booked our Calais Pick-up Service. We look forward to meeting our other customers this afternoon who have made their own way to the start of the tour.
Probably the most important news for everybody reading this newsletter is that our 2025 touring programme is now online. We have already informed all the customers who were on the preliminary booking list, to give them a chance to book first, before the newsletter is sent out. With this newsletter bookings are open to everybody. The programme is very similar to what we had announced in our last newsletter. The only change really is that we will not be running the “Scenic Switzerland” tour. This is because firstly we concluded that we would need 3 weeks for the “Timeless Tuscany” tour to do it justice and secondly, we needed to keep some time available for family commitments. Both new tours in 2025 “Timeless Tuscany” and “Perfect Portugal” will therefore be 3-week tours. We felt it was important to have some brand-new tours as we have a rebooking rate of over 60% and needed to bring on some new destinations for our long-time customers.
Next year we will start the touring season with our “Springtime in Holland” tour in April and use the good weather in May to go down to Italy to run the new “Timeless Tuscany” tour. Of course, we will have our evergreen tour “Majestic Rhine & Moselle Rivers” in June/July and next year it will be followed by the “Breathtaking Black Forest” tour during the second half of July. After the summer break we will be running our 2-week tour to the “Spectacular Spanish Northern Coast”, which will be followed by our new ”Perfect Portugal” tour. This means by booking both tours you can have 5 weeks of touring on the Iberian Peninsula from the end of August to the beginning of October in beautiful warm weather. The other back-to-back tours in 2025 our “Majestic Rhine & Moselle Rivers” tour followed by the “Breathtaking Black Forest” tour which, as always, take place in June/July.
When people ask us what would be a good starter tour, we always recommend the “Majestic Rhine & Moselle Rivers” tour and next year also the “Springtime in Holland” tour, as both tours have really short daily mileages and start relatively close to Calais, so if you have never travelled to mainland Europe in your motorhome, maybe this would be something to consider.
As you might have noticed the first two tours for this year are no longer on our website, because bookings for these two tours have closed, but we still have limited availability on the remaining tours, including the “Majestic Rhine & Moselle Rivers” tour, as unfortunately one couple has had to cancel. Please keep in mind in case you still want to join us on our “Stunning Norway” tour, that it can only be booked until the end of April! As you will have noticed the tours to Denmark, Norway, Romantic Road, North Italian Lakes and Croatia are not in the programme next year, so make the most of it this year.
