We returned home from the UK last weekend after a successful 6 days at the Motorhome & Caravan Show at the NEC in Birmingham and a few days relaxing with family in the UK. We were extremely busy at the show and for the first time we actually ran out of the folders we had prepared for the show. Fortunately, this only happened on Sunday morning, and we still had plenty of the individual tour flyers.
We would like to thank everybody who visited our stand at the show and for the bookings we received as a result. It was good to see so many of our existing customers and to talk to large numbers of people who showed great interest in our tours, many of whom were new to motorhoming. Some of our existing customers made sure to get on the tour(s) they wanted by booking before the show and several bookings from first time customers arrived shortly after the show. It is also great to receive bookings for back-to-back tours which confirms that our concept of two tours following on from each other allowing for 4 weeks of European holiday is well received. The show is always a great opportunity for anybody thinking about joining one of our escorted tours to talk to long-term customers who regularly come to see us at our stand. We are sure that these chats are a great help to many of the people visiting our stand.
During the show many people asked about the “Scenic Switzerland” and “Amazing Alpine Roads” tours, as they were not sure if it would be possible to drive on these roads with their motorhomes. We assured them, that it is no problem, as we have driven the all the routes we suggest in our Roadbooks in our 7.5t motorhome and therefore they will be no problem for our customers. We also suggested that they can have a look at our slideshows on the tour impressions page on our website, showing photographs from past tours. We also promised that once back in the office we would also get one ready for the” Scenic Switzerland” tour 2022 and this is now online. We prepare these tour impressions not only that customers can do the tour virtually, but it is also a great souvenir for the people that joined us on the tour.
Just to let you know, the above-mentioned two “mountain” tours can also be combined with a second tour in completely different regions for 4 weeks of European travel. The “Scenic Switzerland” and the “Picturesque Provence” tours are back-to-back, as are the “Amazing Alpine Roads” and “Delightful Danube” tours.
